The Old Radiation Laboratory was demolished in 1959, to make way for Latimer Hall (Chemistry) in 1963. The entrance to the new site for the Radiation Laboratory in the Berkeley Hills is more elegant. The Bevatron was in 1954; it was famous for its discovery of the antiproton in 1955. |
